POEM 1.

"NAME", Since we met. We have shared so many special moments. Like two lovebirds, we are meant to be together forever. You make my life complete, you are everything to me. So on this special day. I would like to ask if you would do me the honour of agreeing to be my Wife/Husband. "NAME" MY LOVE, WILL YOU MARRY ME?

POEM 2

All my life I've searched for you. Now my search is at an end. I've found my one true sweetheart. My one true loving friend. When love first touched the two of us. It was totally beyond our control. And though we're honest to one another, still each others heart we stole. Now one more journey I wish to make. With you, in our life together. Two kindred spirits I know we'll be. Two birds of the rarest feather. So a favour I do ask of you. Just one thing to complete this life. Would you please do me the honour of becoming my beloved Wife/Husband?

POEM 1

(Names) take you (Names) to be my Husband/wife. My partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our marriage and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart and my love, from this day forward, for as long as we both shall live.

POEM 1

(name) Our Bridesmaid. The lovely ladies who have helped us make our special day. Just a little some thing we have to say. With your presence and with you there. Our grateful thanks we have to share. So with this small gift and a thank you too. For being there when we said I do. Love from (names) Date of wedding can also be added. Written by (Kathleen Freda Abbott)

POEM 2

Our friendship just gets better, through every passing year. But it really has been this one that I hold truly dear. In helping with my wedding. And knowing you will be. Sharing in this day, by standing there with me. You've taken something special. And added from your heart. All the things that made us friends right from the very start. And though I lives are changing. Our friendship will stay true. This my heart will count on. As my life begins anew. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of my life.

POEM 3

I wish that I could tell you exactly what it means. To have a special sister who has shared in all my dreams. Now on the day I marry. You will be the one to stand by me. As my bridesmaid near me close at hand of memories we've shared this day just would not be. And though our lives keep changing I will still look forward to. All the many things we'll share as only sisters do. You are a wonderful sister.

POEM 4

How lucky we are to have a flower girl. Who's so cute in every way. Someone who knows how to walk down an aisle. And steel everyone's heart away. So thank you for being our flower girl. Dropping petals to lead the way. But thank you most of all for helping to make ours a perfect wedding day.

POEM 5

This poem is a gift to say. How dear you are to me. And offer you my heartfelt thanks. For being there for me. When I am walking down the aisle. A very happy bride. Please know it means so much to me. To have you by my side. So, do not think that things will change. Because I'll be a wife. You'll always hold a special place. Of honour in my life.

POEM 6

To our Special Bridesmaid (Name) You walked with me and talked with me. Shared my happy and sad times. Always there for me through thick and thin. A true friend of mine. And now as I am wed today, you are my Bridesmaid and my guide. Thanks for your friendship, long may it last. Twas an honour to have you by my side.

To our special bridesmaid (name) We would like to say. Avery special Thank you. You really made our day. So here's a little keepsake to hang upon your wall. The prettiest princess in the land. The fairest of them all.

POEM 1

(name) Most of our lives we've known each other. And despite it all you're like my brother. We've been through times. Both thick and thin. And now, I 'm proud to have you stand beside me. My best man, my friend. Thank you. From (name) Date of wedding can be added

POEM 2

A special thanks to our Bestman (name) A bestman is a special friend. As such a name implies. In charge of parties, rings, and toasts. He is the best of guys. He also helps a nervous groom. And gets him there on time. He calms his nerves and has him there, before a bell can chime. He gives advice and lends a ear. He does all this and more. He's always by his best friend's side. That's what a pal is for! from (name) Date of wedding can be added

POEM 3

To my Bestman (name) How can I thank you for all you have done. You've been my guide. And stood by my side. Without your support I wouldn't have made it today. You kept me calm when I needed it the most. So I just want to say Thank you. From (name) Wedding date can be added. Poem written by (Kathleen Freda Abbott)

POEM 1

Maybe we are supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives. Maybe the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Maybe the best kind of love is the kind where you can sit on a sofa together, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had. Maybe you shouldn't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Maybe you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy. Maybe love is not about finding the perfect person, its about learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. When you do what you can, love will do what you can't

POEM 2

My love is like a red, red rose. Thats newly sprung in June. My love is like a melody thats sweetly played in tune. As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, so deep in love am I. And I will love thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry. Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear. And the rocks melt with' the sun. And I will love thee still, my dear. While the sands o' life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only love. And fare thee weel a while. And I will come again, my love. Thou it were ten thousand mile. (By Robert Burns)

POEM 3

What is Love. Love is just not looking at each other and saying "you're wonderful" There are times when we are anything but wonderful. Love is looking out in the same direction. It is linking our strength to pull a common load. It is pushing together towards the far horizons hand in hand. Love is knowing that when our strength falters, we can borrow the strength of someone who cares. Love is a strange awareness that our sorrows will be shared and made lighter by sharing. That joys will be enriched and multiplied by the joy of another. Love is knowing someone else cares that we are not alone in life.

POEM 4

True love. True love is a sacred flame that burns eternally And none can dim its special glow. Or change its destiny. True love speaks in tender tones. And hears with gentle ear. True love gives with open heart. And true love conquers fear. True love makes no harsh demands. It neither rules nor binds. And true love holds with gentle hands. The hearts that it entwines.

POEM 1

You'll never really know my dear. Just how much you mean to me. A mother's love, buried so deep, that only my heart can see. When I sit and really stare at you, all I can do is grin. Somewhere down deep inside, I see myself within. I'd never change a thing in you, I thank God that your so fine. Even when your at your worst, I'm so proud that you are mine. The roads we have traveled, were not always that good, I would take back all the pain you've felt, only if I could. I know that I'm not perfect, Its the best that I can do. But everyday, I thank the Lord, for a daughter as special as you.

POEM 2

Our daughter (NAME) is a wonderful blessing, a treasure from above. Your laughter, warmth and special charm, your thoughtfulness and love. Our daughter brings a special joy, that comes from deep inside. And as you grew to adulthood, you filled our hearts with pride. With every year that passes, your more special than before. Through every stage, through every age, we love you even more. No words can describe the warm memories, the pride and gratitude, too. That comes from having a daughter, to love and cherish....just like you

POEM 3

Today dear daughter. As you walk down the aisle. You'll see all the faces, wearing a smile. But as we remember. Those young tender years. Our smiles will conceal a few hidden tears. It isn't through sadness, our emotions just whirl. As were both thinking back to our little girl. And now you have grown, and made us both proud. As you smile for the camera, and the rest of the crowd. Remember dear (NAME) as you become a new wife, you're still very much a part of our life. Were not losing a daughter, we are gaining a son. You're new lives as husband and wife have begun. So be blissfully happy. And enjoy your big day. Be happily married forever and a day

POEM 4

To my Daughter (name) on your wedding day. I wonder where the years have gone. As I now look at you. You take another's hand in yours. And start a life brand new. I think back to those early times. When you were still so small. That pretty smile, those caring hands that tended each new doll. Old photographs bring back those days. I treasure every pose. For as you grew, so did our love, it blossomed like a rose. I pray your marriage will be blessed. For this is God's design. While memories of yesteryear, will still be your and mine. Love from (names)

POEM 5

The first time I laid eyes on you. I knew right from the start. Whatever life may throw at us we would never be apart. Nothing I had felt prior, could ever have prepared me for the feeling of total love I had for this baby who I adore. But that was just the beginning. There were more events to come. From changing your nappy at bed times. To tucking you in with mum. In later years we had our rows. And sometimes we would shout. But it never really took too long to remember what life's about. The first time you entered this world. A promise I did make. Never would I let you go. But that promise I must now break. For today I stand most proudly. As you marry your man most dear. Your Dad remembers his little girl. And can't help but shed a tear. As now I give you away daughter. Of my being you are the core. I never thought it possible. Another man could love you more.

POEM 1

For my son (name) Years ago when I was young. And prayed for a son of my own. I prayed not only for the infant, but for the son when grown. I prayed for his health and strength. For faith and courage too. And the father heard my prayer. And sent me the precious gift of you. As you grew up in wisdom and stature. I watched you with adoring eyes. And that you turned out so wonderfully was certainly no surprise. And from the time you arrived to share the home we made for you. It was my daily fervent prayer. That God prepare the perfect wife for you. Again I sit with tears of utmost joy. As I see God's gift to my dear boy. And I will praise him all my life for the wonderful lady he sent, to be your bride and loving wife! From (mum or dad or both)

POEM 2

To my son (name) on your wedding day. I still recall when you were small. With mischief in your eyes. Your sweetest hugs, the way you teased and asked a thousands why's. I picture yet those precious gifts. Your little hands would bring. The cards that showed your tender love. And flowers you picked in spring. You liked your toys much more than girls. And thought you'd never wed. But little boys grow into men. And vows will now be said. Those treasures you once brought to me. I pray you'll give your wife. And may your marriage be the best. A union blessed for life. From (mum, dad or both)

POEM 3

The day has arrived we give away our son. Your heart as been captured, your heart has been won. We love and adore, the one to take our place. We know she loves you and the future she will embrace. You are our son and we give you are blessing. She will be your queen as you are her king. The years are ahead and accept them at will. Stay friends and in love and years you will still. Be as in love as you are in love today. One more thing we would like to say. We are so proud of you on your wedding day. Poem written by (Kathleen Freda Abbott)

POEM 1

I still recall my childhood days. And how things used to be. The many ways you always showed how much you cared for me. Those memories come gently back. Into my mind today. And part of me remains a child. And still would like to say. But now I choose to share my life. And two hearts beat as one. And like the stories you once read, another has begun. I know not what life holds for me. Or even where I'll go. But this one thought I leave with you. I'll always love you so. Love from (name)

POEM 2

To Mum & Dad. Though you've given us your blessing I think you'll understand. Why I look at you so tenderly as we reach to take each others hand. Awedding is a joyful time as two young lives unite. Yet its time to think about the years that have gone by. My memories are special gifts, their worth cannot be measured. The loving home you made for me my heart will always treasure. And though I'm very happy as I make my brand new start. The love I feel for each of you is forever in my heart. I love you both (Your name)

POEM 3

Thank you for always being there and knowing just what to do. Thank you for knowing the words to say when I'm feeling beyond blue. Thank you for patiently listening to all my worries and stresses. Thank you for being a phone call away or around the corner to run to. Thank you for your door always being open and knowing just what to do. Thank you for being my constant support when I could not cope. Thank you for lifting my spirits and letting me know there is hope. Thank you (Your name)

POEM 1

Thank you mother for being there, whenever I am in need. Encouraging me whenever I'm unsure. Giving me the strength to succeed. When life seems really impossible, you wipe away my tears. And with gentle words of wisdom, you soothe away my fears. I'm sure I've said harsh words to you, when I've been angry and despairing. But your love for me never falters. You remain steadfastly kind and caring. Thank you mother for all your support. And the happy memories I treasure. I'm so lucky to have you, your truly loved beyond measure.

POEM 2

Mummy you are so precious to me. Without you I don't know where I'd be. Each morning, you're smile is bright as the sun. And the day is filled with laughter and fun. I love the exciting games we play. The endless joy and happiness each day. You comfort me when I'm feeling sad. Then nothing ever appears so bad. I love when we snuggle up close and warm. And I know you'll protect me from any storm. You tuck me in safe and warm at night. And cuddle me if I wake with fright. I just want to say how much you mean to me. And what a special mummy you'll always be.

POEM 3

You love me without reason. You show me that you care. You take me through each
season. Your always kind and fair. My life with you is never humdrum. There are no conditions of love from you my mum.

Happy Retirement (name) You wake up in the morning. With nothing to do. How you're going to fill your day. You haven't a clue. By the time you've had a leisurely breakfast. Your energy starts to sap. Before lunch the chances are. You'll find the time to fit in a nap. At lunch, avoid drinking coffee. That's far to soon. You don't want it keeping you awake, all the afternoon. Get some fresh air, go into the garden for a bit. Busy your self having a nice long sit. When your thoroughly worn out with all that fresh air. Take your self back indoors. To your favourite armchair. Where you can have a good contemplate, about ways to get thinner. But try and fit in 40 winks just ahead of dinner. Then relax in the evening. Trying to understand, how you only managed to get done. Half the things you planned. Never mind, don't bother yourself. With any regret or sorrow. You've got plenty of time to fail. To do it all again tomorrow. From (name)

POEM 2

Happy Retirement (name) If you can take retirement as a beginning and not an end. Remember the things you used to like and do. All those letters you promised to send. All the ironing that's piled up and grew and grew. All the boring chores that need to be done. All the cupboards that need to be tided. You can forget that. Go out there and have fun. Make it your time, make it all one sided. And forget the work, forget the ironing, have a holiday in the sun. Maybe visit old friends and neighbours you haven't seen in a while. Take up pottery take up dancing, be a ballet dancer even sky diving. You could may be even run one or two mile. Possibly even learn how to sing. But what ever you do. Enjoy every minute. And do what you want to do. From (name) Written by (Kathleen Freda Abbott)

POEM 3

Goodbye to work, you're on a high. Its the best day of your life. You gladly hand the reins over, goodbye to toil and strife. When morning comes, you lie in bed and you look up at the ceiling. There's no one here to harass you, I know just how you're feeling. The sun shines through the window. You hear the clatter of some feet. Its people who are off to work, you can hear them in the street. Within you comes a warming glow, your new life just starting. There's cards from many work friends who were sad at your departing. But you must arise, get dressed and out, there's no time left to lose. Make the most of it, the day is yours do exactly as you choose. Just why should you feel guilty on the best day of your life? Because I said a cheerio to my poor, still working wife. from (name)

POEM 1

Wedding Anniversary wife/husband.  Its our Anniversary  So what better time to say   You make my life just perfect   And I love you more each day   From the day we met I knew  That you were made for me   I’d found my one and only   And are love was meant to be   Life is but a journey
On roads that twist and wind And when we took our wedding vows  Our paths became entwined
There is no greater pleasure Than to share my life with you  And I’I've never been so happy
Since the day we said “I do”

POEM 2

My most favourite times are those spent with you. You make me smile with all that you do. On you I can truly depend. To love and take care of me, my soulmate, my best friend. When I look at you my heart still melts. Its the loveliest love I have ever felt. I love you more than words can say and I wish you a very special day.

POEM 3

We have reached our first anniversary. Paper I believe. And you know I love you And you must know too That my happiest moments Are those spent with you For when we
are together Or when we’re apart you’re first in my thoughts And First in my heart For its not the things you say Or the thoughtful things you do Its cos I need you and I love you Quite simply cos you’re you

This hanky is a gift from me. That's from my heart to you. For you to hold on your wedding day. To catch a tear or two. A keepsake to remind you. Of the friendship that we share. And although the years may pass away. You know I'll always care. Perhaps someday in years to come. You'll pass this hanky on... To a loved and cherished daughter or the bride of your grown son. Then tell her of the hanky held along with your bouquet. Tucked away for all these years just for her special day. But more important tell her that true friends never part and this my friend is why today. This hanky's from my heart. (names and date)
